Week 3

 THIRD WEEK The third week was marked by the upcoming winter celebration, as the school was preparing to close for the holidays. The atmosphere was festive and lively, with students looking forward to the break. During this week, I was assigned paper-checking duty, which helped me understand the evaluation process more closely. In addition, assignments were given to the students to complete during the vacation. This was done to ensure continuity in learning even during the holidays. The week provided valuable experience in assessment, planning, and guiding students beyond the classroom.

 SECOND WEEK The second week brought new responsibilities and experiences. School examinations were conducted during this time, and I was assigned exam duty. It was a different experience altogether, giving me insight into the responsibilities involved in conducting examinations. Managing students during the exam period was a little challenging, but it helped me develop better classroom control and patience. At the same time, the B.Ed. third semester began, which made the week slightly difficult to manage. Balancing teaching practice duties along with academic responsibilities caused some stress. However, with proper planning and determination, I was able to handle both effectively. This week taught me the importance of time management, adaptability, and staying calm under pressure.

Week 1

FIRST WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE The first week of the second phase of teaching practice began with great excitement, as I had the opportunity to rejoin the same school where I completed my first phase. Returning to a familiar environment brought a sense of comfort and confidence, and it felt wonderful to see the same faces once again. Reuniting with the students was especially joyful. Their warm smiles and enthusiasm made the transition into the second phase smooth and motivating. This week marked a fresh beginning, filled with renewed energy, stronger bonds, and eagerness to continue the teaching–learning journey together.

 E-Content Topic: Photosynthesis The e-content on Photosynthesis was developed as part of the B.Ed curriculum to enhance effective teaching through digital pedagogy. The content is designed for secondary school students (Class IX) and follows a learner-centred and activity-oriented approach. The e-content begins with a simple introduction explaining the meaning and importance of photosynthesis in sustaining life on Earth. It clearly describes the process of photosynthesis, raw materials required, site of photosynthesis, and the role of sunlight and chlorophyll. Well-labelled diagrams, animations and short video clips are included to help students visualize the process and understand abstract concepts easily. Interactive features such as quiz questions, short tasks, reflection questions and recap slides are incorporated to ensure active participation and self-assessment.  .Tenth Week of Teaching Practice Report During the tenth week of teaching practice, an innovative teaching session was conducted to enhance students’ interest and understanding of biology concepts. The innovative work was specifically planned and delivered to Class 8D. The topics covered were animal cell and stem cells. Innovative methods such as activity-based learning, use of models, visual aids, and interactive discussion were employed to help students clearly understand the structure of an animal cell and the concept, types, and importance of stem cells. Students were actively involved in identifying cell organelles and discussing the applications of stem cells in medicine. The innovative session created curiosity and enthusiasm among students, making the learning process meaningful and enjoyable. This week helped me improve my creativity in teaching and reinforced the importance of innovative approaches in effective classroom instruction.

                           INNOVATIVE WORK Innovation in teaching plays a vital role in making learning meaningful, interesting, and long-lasting. Traditional methods of teaching science often fail to provide a clear visualization of microscopic structures such as cells and their organelles. To overcome this difficulty, an innovative teaching–learning material titled “Journey to the Cell” was designed in the form of a pop-up book. This innovative work aims to help students understand the structure and function of cell organelles through three-dimensional, interactive, and visual representation, thereby promoting experiential and joyful learning.
