 E-Content

Topic: Photosynthesis

The e-content on Photosynthesis was developed as part of the B.Ed curriculum to enhance effective teaching through digital pedagogy. The content is designed for secondary school students (Class IX) and follows a learner-centred and activity-oriented approach.

The e-content begins with a simple introduction explaining the meaning and importance of photosynthesis in sustaining life on Earth. It clearly describes the process of photosynthesis, raw materials required, site of photosynthesis, and the role of sunlight and chlorophyll. Well-labelled diagrams, animations and short video clips are included to help students visualize the process and understand abstract concepts easily.

Interactive features such as quiz questions, short tasks, reflection questions and recap slides are incorporated to ensure active participation and self-assessment. Key terms, summary points and real-life examples are provided to reinforce learning and retention.

This e-content supports self-learning, blended learning and flipped classroom strategies, making the teaching of photosynthesis interesting, effective and conceptually clear while also promoting students’ digital learning skills.
