Week 3
Third Week of Teaching Practice Report (28th to 1st)
The third week of my teaching practice at Iqbal School, conducted from 28th to 1st, was academically enriching and helped me deepen my teaching effectiveness. During this week, I covered important biology topics across Classes 8D, 9E, and 9C.
In Class 8D, I taught the Urey–Miller experiment, explaining the experimental setup, procedure, and significance in supporting the chemical evolution theory. I also handled the topic from prokaryotic cells to eukaryotic cells, focusing on the evolutionary transition and key differences between the two cell types. Diagrams and comparative explanations were used to enhance understanding.
In Class 9E, the portions covered were components of blood and formation of tissue fluid. The structure and functions of blood components were explained in detail, followed by a clear description of how tissue fluid is formed and its role in the body.
In Class 9C, I taught the lymphatic system and various kinds of blood vessels. The lesson included the structure and functions of arteries, veins, and capillaries, along with the role of the lymphatic system in circulation and immunity. Interactive questioning and visual aids were used to keep students actively involved.
Overall, the third week enhanced my confidence in handling complex biological concepts and improved my ability to integrate explanations with diagrams and student interaction.
